On Saturday 12th January, 2019 a special event took place at the Crofters Weaving Mill, Spring Ridge on the Liverpool Plains.
This was a most significant event where those present were able to see the newly registered Upper Hunter Tartan (#12320) cut from the loom. These items will, in due course, be framed and presented to the shires of the Upper Hunter Region.
A coach load of some 50 people from the Upper Hunter, consisting of AHG Committee and friends travelled to Spring Ridge for the event. Also present were a number from the Liverpool Plains Shire council as well as a crew from NBN TV, Tamworth.
After leaving Spring Ridge we travelled to Nundle for lunch to be followed by a visit to the Nundle Woollen Mill where we were able to see the wool for our tartan being spun.
