The Committee of the Aberdeen Highland Games would like to welcome the bands who are participating in this year’s games.
The Games always attracts a great line up of pipe bands who whilst they are competing for the various trophies, they have come for a great day out and to enjoy the pleasantries of the event.
There will be a competition for Drum Majors with two trophies being struck, for the Best Drum Major on the Day both Senior and Junior. These trophies have been donated by the Maitland Pipe Band and for this the Committee is most grateful.
The following points need to be considered,
- The Drum Majors will be judged as part of their band display.
- Nominations for the Drum Majors competition need to be received prior to the event.

In the evening, following the Games, the Aberdeen Sport & Recreation Club will host a Pipe Band Quintet competition presented by the New South Wales Pipe Band Association in partnership with the Tamworth District Pipe Band.
For those interested, there will also be a fantastic showcase of Celtic music, kicking off from 6.00 pm onwards
