Each band performs multiple routines on the day competing for The McMullin Shield, the Scottish Australian Heritage Council Trophy and the Celtic Warriors Ceremonial Sword. These awards are presented to the pipe bands with the best display at the Aberdeen Highland Games.

McMullin Shield

The McMullin Shield is awarded to the band with the best display at the games. This award is presented by the Fraser family of St Aubins, Scone.

Scottish Australian Heritage Council Trophy

The Scottish Australian Heritage Council Trophy will be presented to the band coming second.

Celtic Warriors Ceremonial Sword

The Celtic Warriors Ceremonial Sword is presented by the Celtic Warriors shop for the band in third place on the day.

President’s Perpetual Trophy

The President’s Perpetual Trophy for the best display band on the day. 1st and 2nd place awarded.

President’s Drum Major Awards

This award, instigated by DM Joe Royston, commenced in 2019 with the trophies being kindly presented by the Maitland Pipe Band. The trophy plus $50.00 to be presented to the Best Drum Major on the day in both Senior and Junior divisions.
